SACRED KEY V – BREATH AND DIVINE UNION

We will be sharing a deep dive into breathwork, and it’s important to be prepared.  It is a beautiful practice, yet it can be challenging - physically, emotionally, and mentally.

It is most important to be safe and unencumbered throughout the journey, and always remember the choice of love is here and now.

If you have any concerns about your ability to do this work due to physical or mental issues, please feel free to reach out to us. All aspects of this journey are optional, and we can modify the experience for your needs.

All results of your participation in this work are your sole responsibility.  The deeper you breathe, the deeper you may go – AND – Your wellbeing is up to you, be sure to monitor yourself and your safety.  Each person must agree that they are responsible for their own safety during this profound process.

If at any time the experience feels too intense for you, know that you are in control – slow down your breath. Calm down, exhale more slowly than you inhale, and ask for help if needed.

--------

Breathwork can bring up deep emotions and traumatic memories,  - yet if at any time the experience is just too much for you, feel empowered to slow down your breath and take care of your wellbeing. Calm down, slow down, exhale more slowly.  Ask for help from your deepest inner Being. Remain present with all the sensations that arise.

* It can be very valuable, and is highly recommended to follow up this work with one-on-one session work.

Prepare for your Breathwork Journey

  • Have your journal to explore your deepest intentions for the Journey and delve into how this relates to Divine Union for you – after the work, continue journaling through the weeks to come for integration and embodiment support. Keep your journal next to your bed and be sure to watch your dreams.
  • Ensure that your breathing area is prepared in advance – know where to position your computer’s camera so you are visible from belly to face - you may be laying down for the process.
  • Have a space prepared to lay down with pillows at your sides for comfort and safety in case your body is activated to move about. (A couple yoga mats, a camping pad, or a bed are all fine.
  • Avoid using a thick pillow under your head, as it will impede deep breathing. Laying mostly flat is best, as long as you are comfortable.
  • Ensure your area is free from dangerous objects that may impede you or be unsafe for you.
  • Have a blanket at hand as you may feel cold at some point during the process.
  • If possible, make arrangements to be alone in your home, or do your best to create a safe, private space for you to feel free to emote, and Journey deeply.
  • If privacy is limited, find a room to close the door and possibly create a source of ambient noise for others to create more space for yourself.
  • If you have a Bluetooth speaker, sound bar, wireless headset, or earbuds, that will allow you to have better sound quality and higher volume for the journey. *Test them beforehand.
  • We recommend you have the volume set to a higher level for maximum experience.
  • A blindfold or eye pillow is a very helpful option during the journey to support you to remain ‘within’ and deepen your experience.

Your Breathwork Journey Experience

  • You may experience strong body sensations - dramatic increase in your energy level. Go with it and enjoy.
  • You may feel drowsy and need to change your position to remain active. Breathing face down on all-fours, or upright on your knees, are energizing and safe options. Raise your torso with each inhalation and lower it with each exhalation. Allow the spine to move actively along with the breath and explore the movement freely.
  • Allow the breath to move the body
  • You may feel inspired to dance, yet we suggest remaining safe by staying on the floor to dance and allow the energy to flow through you.
  • It’s best to go to the bathroom before you start - if you do need to get up during the process, be very careful – take your time as you may feel dizzy, lightheaded or disoriented – sit up for a while before you stand - you can even crawl to the bathroom if need be.
  • You may feel tightening, cramping, or numbing in parts of your body. Stay calm, slow down your OUT breath, and this too shall pass – feel free to ask for help.
  • Remember your intentions, and that Divine Union is always available and accessible in each Breath.

Meditation Mudra

Dear Sacred Keys Family

Here is the mudra that was shared for our special event meditation 10/12/24. May you use it in Grace and Divine Light!

Dhyana mudra, also known as samadhi mudra or yoga mudra, is thought to have been used by Shakyamuni Buddha throughout his life — most notably during the moment of his enlightenment under the Bodhi tree.
